A four days Political Communication and Election Campaigning skill training organized by TIMRAN for the coalition of members of women political parties started on March 07, 2023, at Azzeman Hotel.
TIMRAN Executive Directress, Eyerusalem Solomon, welcomes the participants. She noted TIMRAN was established three years ago as a civic organization and made a great contribution and now it is working as a secretariat to the Coalition for Women’s Voice in the National Dialogue (CWVND).
She said the four-day Political Communication and Election Campaigning skill training organized for the coalition of members of women political parties is based on a need assessment collected from each political party.
She indicates a fortnight ago TIMRAN organized training on GBV in politics for the coalition members mainly focused on male members so as to bring an actual change to the problem.
The directress noted TIMRAN aspired to Ethiopia to have empowered women and meaningful participation of women in politics, thus it organized political communication and campaigning skill training.
The training guest of honor HE Nebiha Mohammed, Labour, and Skills Deputy Minister, said TIMRAN has immense contribution to women’s political party members by organizing different training so as to empower women’s political participation.
The training that focuses on political communication and election campaign skill is based on the interest of the coalition for women political party members.
The Minister stressed the role of women in Ethiopian politics is still found at a low level; thus the participants have a great responsibility to change this situation in their respective parties.
She asked the participants to be active participation so as to mentor others at the end of the training.
