የሴቶች ተሳትፎ እና የመንግሥት ሚና

ባለፉት ሁለት ዓመታት በኢፌዴሪ መንግሥት እና በትግራይ ክልል አስተዳደር መካከል የተፈጠረ የፖለቲካ ልዩነት ብዙ ሀገራዊ ዋጋ አስከፍሏል። ሁለቱ ወገኖች ጥቅምት ወር ላይ ደቡብ አፍሪካ ውስጥ የጥላቻ ማስወገድ ስምምነት ማድረጋቸውን ተከትሎ በመቀጠል ኬንያ፣ ናይሮቢ ሁለት ዙር ውይይት አድርገዋል። በያዝነው ሳምንት መጀመሪያ ላይ በሕዝብ ተወካዮች ምክር ቤት አፈ ጉባኤ ታገሠ ጫፎ የሚመራ የፌዴራል መንግሥት ከፍተኛ የልኡካን ቡድን የሰላም ስምምነቱን የትግበራ ሂደት ለመቃኘት እና በስምምነቱ የተካተቱ ዋና፣ ዋና ጉዳዮች በታቀደው መሠረት እንዲፈጸሙ ለማድረግ ወደ መቀሌ አቅንቷል።

በልኡካን ቡድኑ ውስጥ ከመንግሥት ሚኒስቴር መሥሪያ ቤቶች እና የተለያዩ የፖለቲካ እና የሐሳብ መሪዎች እንዲሁም የኅብረተሰብ ክፍሎች መካከል እጅግ መሠረታዊ በሆኑ ሀገራዊ ጉዳዮች ላይ የሚታየውን የሐሳብ ልዩነት እና አለመግባባት አካታች በሆነ መንገድ የሕዝብ ምክክሮችን በማካሄድ ሀገራዊ መግባባት ለመፍጠር የተቋቋመው የብሔራዊ ምክክር ኮሚሽን አባላት መካተታቸው ይበል የሚያሰኝ ነው።

ከዚህ ባሻገር የልኡካን ቡድኑ በርከት ያሉ ሴት አመራሮች የተካተተቱበት መሆኑ አበረታች ነው። ይህም መንግሥት ሴቶች በአመራርነት ሚና ሊኖራቸው የሚገባውን ድርሻ ለማሳደግ የጀመረውን ቁርጠኝነት በተግባር እያሳየ መሆኑን ያመለክታል። ለወደፊቱም በየደረጃው ሊካሄድ በዝግጅት ላይ የሚገኘውን ብሔራዊ የምክክር መድረክ ጨምሮ በማንኛውም ሀገራዊ ጉዳዮች ውስጥ እስከ ታችኛው መዋቅር ድረስ ሴቶች ከቁጥር በዘለለ የአመራርነት ሚና መጫወት እንዲችሉ የተጠናከሩ ሥራዎች ሊሠሩ እንደሚገባ በዚሁ አጋጣሚ ጥምረት ለሴቶች ድምፅ በብሔራዊ ምክክር መድረክ ያሳስባል። 

Women’s participation and role of the government

In the past two years due to the disparity between the federal government and the Tigray region administration the nation forced to pay heavy price. After two years the two sides signed a cessation of hostility agreement in South Africa and then made two rounds consecutive discussions in Nairobi, Kenya. Following this at the start of this week a high level federal government delegation led by the FDRE House of People’s Representatives Speaker H.E Tagese Chafo headed to Mekelle so as to supervise the peace agreement process and overview the implementation of the major issues in the peace agreement.

The delegation comprised government officials and Ethiopian National Dialogue Commission members that aspire to deter the difference of opinions and disagreements among various political and opinion leaders and also segments of society in Ethiopia on the most fundamental national issues so as to resolve the differences and disagreements through broad based inclusive public dialogue that engenders national consensus is welcoming.

Besides the actual inclusion of reasonable number of women in the delegation is supportable. This shows the government unwavering commitment to increase women contribution in the leadership arena. In this occasion Coalition of Women’s Voice in the National Dialogue calls to the national dialogue forum as well government structures to give a chance for women so as to play their part in all levels of decision making.
